Amity Vista Ranch

    About

Located in Alta Vista, the Amity Vista Ranch Campus is a transformative multi-building development designed for the Amity Foundation. Envisioned as a cohesive residential and program-oriented campus, the project reimagines a 2.4-acre site at Watson Way through a combination of new construction, adaptive reuse, and site revitalization. The development is designed to support long-term community living, wellness, and operational efficiency within a thoughtfully integrated environment.

At the heart of the campus transformation is a focus on creating spaces that foster connection, structure, and daily support for residents and staff. The project balances residential accommodations, administrative services, dining facilities, recreation, and communal gathering areas to establish a campus experience centered around accessibility, functionality, and community engagement.

The first phase includes the renovation of an existing structure alongside the construction of a new kitchen facility, creating an upgraded dining and food service hub for the campus. The combined 3,665-square-foot space introduces a more efficient kitchen operation while establishing a welcoming communal dining environment that encourages interaction and shared experiences among residents and staff.

Supporting the campus’s operational needs, the new Maintenance Building provides dedicated space for equipment storage, facility management, and day-to-day upkeep. Designed as a practical yet integrated component of the overall campus plan, the 2,025-square-foot structure helps ensure the long-term functionality and maintenance of the property.

The new Meeting Hall serves as a flexible gathering space intended for group activities, educational programming, and community events. Spanning 2,832 square feet, the building is designed to accommodate a range of uses while reinforcing the campus’s emphasis on collaboration, support, and shared experiences.

A significant component of the development is the Administration and Residential Complex, which combines operational services with supportive housing. The single-story administration building provides workspace for staff and program coordination, while the adjacent two-story residential building introduces 10 residential units with accommodations for up to 40 residents. Shared common areas and communal amenities are incorporated throughout the complex to encourage interaction, daily engagement, and a sense of community within the residential environment.

Complementing the architectural program, the site design introduces a series of outdoor amenities that extend the campus experience beyond the buildings themselves. Recreational features such as a half-size basketball court, landscaped gathering areas, expanded parking, and redesigned outdoor spaces contribute to a more active and welcoming environment that supports both wellness and community interaction.

Together, the Amity Vista Ranch Campus establishes a unified and purpose-driven environment that reflects the Amity Foundation’s mission of support, rehabilitation, and community development. Through carefully planned architecture and site integration, the project creates a campus that is both functional and human-centered, designed to serve its residents and staff for years to come.
