Amistad Community Center

    About

Located in Los Angeles, California, the Amistad Community Center is a four-story facility conceptually developed for the Amity Foundation and designed as a hub for community support, education, healthcare, and rehabilitation services. The project represents a significant investment in programs that strengthen opportunity, recovery, and public engagement within the surrounding community.

Situated in Loas Angeles, CA, the approximately 15,278 square foot development brings together a diverse range of social services within a single accessible environment. The center is envisioned as a place that fosters connection, growth, and support through thoughtfully organized spaces dedicated to education, employment resources, healthcare, counseling, and community gathering.

The second floor is centered around public engagement and community interaction. A large meeting hall provides flexible space for workshops, events, and public gatherings, while a dedicated boardroom supports organizational meetings and planning activities.

Focused on education and workforce development, the third floor combines employment resources with healthcare services. Specialized Rain Maker Spaces support career development and wellness programs, while offices for the Department of Rehabilitation include staff workspaces, a director’s office, and classrooms dedicated to job training and employment services. A GED classroom provides opportunities for adult education and academic advancement, supporting pathways toward long term personal and professional growth.

The fourth floor is dedicated to counseling, therapy, and support services. Six group rooms create private and supportive environments for therapy sessions, counseling programs, and community support groups, reinforcing the building’s mission of rehabilitation, wellness, and personal development.

Designed to serve as both a community resource and a place of empowerment, the Amistad Community Center reflects a vision for architecture that supports human connection, opportunity, and long-term community impact.
